bhāvera āveśe kabhu bhūmite vasiyā
tarjanīte bhūme likhe adhomukha hañā


SYNONYMS

bhāvera āveśe — because of ecstatic emotion; kabhu — sometimes; bhūmite — on the ground; vasiyāsitting; tarjanīte — with the ring finger; bhūme — on the ground; likhe — writes; adhomukha hañā — looking down.


TRANSLATION

In emotional ecstasy, Caitanya Mahāprabhu would sometimes sit on the ground and, looking down, would write on the ground with His finger.
