gajapati rājā śuni’ kīrtana-mahattva
aṭṭālikā caḍi’ dekhe svagaṇa-sahita


SYNONYMS

gajapati rājā — the King of Orissa; śuni’ — hearing; kīrtana-mahattvathe greatness of saṅkīrtana; aṭṭālikā caḍi’ — ascending to the top of the palace; dekhe — sees; svagaṇa-sahita — along with his personal associates.


TRANSLATION

Hearing the greatness of the saṅkīrtana, King Pratāparudra went up to the top of his palace and watched the performance with his personal associates.
