- śrīvāsa prabhure tabe kaila nimantraṇa
SYNONYMS
vistāri '—elaborating; varṇiyāchena—has described; dāsa-vṛndāvana—Vṛndāvana dāsa Ṭhākura; śrīvāsa—Śrīvāsa; prabhure—to Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; tabe—then; kaila nimantraṇa—gave an invitation.
TRANSLATION
All these episodes have been elaborately described by Śrīla Vṛndāvana dāsa Ṭhākura. Then one day Śrīvāsa Ṭhākura extended an invitation to the Lord.
PURPORT
The Caitanya-bhāgavata (Antya-khaṇḍa, Chapter Nine) gives the following description. One day Śrīla Advaita Ācārya, having extended an invitation to Caitanya Mahāprabhu, thought that if the Lord came alone He would feed Him to His great satisfaction. It then so happened that when the other sannyāsīs were going to Advaita Ācārya 's to take lunch, there was a big rainstorm, and they could not reach His house.
