jala bhare, ghara dhoya, kare hari-dhvani
‘kṛṣṇa’ ‘hari’ dhvani vinā āra nāhi śuni


SYNONYMS

jala bharethey were drawing water; ghara dhoya — washing the rooms; kare hari-dhvani — chanting the holy name of Hari; kṛṣṇa — Lord Kṛṣṇa; hari — the holy name of Hari; dhvani — vibration; vinā — except; āra — anything else; nāhi — there was not; śuni — hearing.


TRANSLATION

Some people were filling the pots, and others were washing the rooms, but everyone was engaged in chanting the holy name of Kṛṣṇa and Hari.
