‘gauḍa’ saba ratha ṭāne kariyā ānanda
kṣaṇe śīghra cale ratha, kṣaṇe cale manda


SYNONYMS

gauḍa — the pullers of the car; saba — all; rathathe car; ṭāne — pull; kariyā — feeling; ānanda — happiness; kṣaṇesometimes; śīghra cale — goes very fast; ratha — the car; kṣaṇe — sometimes; cale — goes; manda — very slow.


TRANSLATION

The pullers of the car were known as gauḍas, and they pulled with great pleasure. However, the car sometimes went very fast and sometimes very slow.
