TEXT 35

kāhāṅ tumi—sākṣāt īśvara nārāyaṇa
kāhāṅ muñi—rāja-sevī viṣayī śūdrādhama


SYNONYMS

kāhāṅ — whereas; tumi — You; sākṣāt — directly; īśvara nārāyaṇa — the Supreme Personality of Godhead; kāhāṅ — whereas; muñi — I; rāja-sevī — government servant; viṣayī — materialist; śūdra-adhama — worse than a śūdra, or fourth-class man.


TRANSLATION

“You are the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Nārāyaṇa Himself, and I am only a government servant interested in materialistic activities. Indeed, I am the lowest among men of the fourth caste.
