Dear Atreya,

Please accept my humble obeisances! One check from you to Prabhupada No. 116 on Chemical Bank, dated Nov. 12, 1972, for $555.00 has bounced. One man in Bombay already gave His Divine Grace the rupees for it and was quite hurt that now he is faced with a $555.00 loss, now that the cheque is returned cancelled. Prabhupada wants you to send Him immediately the $555.00 so we can pay this man back for the rupees he has already given us. Otherwise our “credit” with these men will be lost in India. Also there is one cheque 55-589/212 dated Nov. 10, 1972 No. 179 from Robert Cohen for $40 which was similarly cancelled and the same man also stands to lose on that. So Prabhupada wants you to send Him $595.00 immediately to pay off the bum cheques here. Jai!
