Dear Jadurani devi dasi,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I am in due receipt of your letter dated Nov. 27, 1974 and I have noted the contents carefully. In regards to your questions, your first question about Madhavendra Puris Gopal deity, I think Nitai has already answered. Next, the food offered my Madhavendra Puri contained within the pots, those pots were made of brass and the color should be brass color. All the six Goswamis wore white cloth. White is the color for Paramahamsas. They did not wear saffron. So Rupa Goswami should be wearing white in that painting. Also it is true that in the beginning Lord Caitanya did not have a sikha and he did not wear a brahman thread or tilak until later. As far as our paintings go they should also have Lord Caitanya depicted with kunti mala, vaisnava tilak, brahman thread, sikha, everything. He should never be painted without these things. So far as Jaya Rama’s painting is concerned it is alright to have variegation in these paintings of Radha and Krishna. Each one does not have to be exactly the same. As far as your question about investing time in practicing doing life drawings whatever is convenient for you to produce nice artwork more efficiently. Prabhupada said He didn’t know if it would help you or not in the long run, but if you think it would then you should do it.

In regards to the household women who are all cooking at home, Prabhupada said it is better if you can arrange a nursery program so that those women can be engaged in our preaching mission. That is more important work than cooking at home. He was very emphatic about this point. I hope this meets you in good health.
