770330 - Letter to Satsvarupa from Tamal Krsna

Dear Satsvarupa Maharaj,

Please accept my humble obeisances at your feet. I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated March 18, 1977.

Regarding Bhakti Shastra examinations, yes, Srila Prabhupada says you can mark on a pass or fail basis, and everyone who passes may receive a certificate as you have described. Yes, the exams should only be held at Mayapur once a year at the Festival and not in other places. So far as holding a Bhakti Vaibhava examination, that may wait. For now we should go on holding the Bhakti Shastra examinations and after some time we can hold Bhakti Vaibhava exams.

There is no doubt that Srila Prabhupada’s health will improve, and there is no doubt that His Divine Grace received great encouragement by the nice service of such sincere disciples as your good self.
