770413 - Letter to Jayatirtha from Tamal Krsna
My dear Jayatirtha prabhu:
Please accept my humble obeisances at your feet. I beg to thank you for your letter dated 25th March, 1977, along with the resolutions from the BBT Trustees’ meeting. Your letter has been redirected from Hyderabad, and therefore has only now reached me.
I read the resolutions to His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada. Srila Prabhupada seemed to be satisfied with the resolutions and made very few comments, so I think there is no need for me to have to send a letter to all the trustees in this regard. The few points His Divine Grace made were:
All extravagant expenditures at the Press should be stopped. Radhaballabha should not change things as he is inclined to do. Unnecessary expenditures like the Sanskrit and Art departments should be curtailed. Money saved from these departments should be used for the Bhaktivedanta Institute.
Prabhupada asked what happened to the book “Dialectical Spiritualism”?
I am sure Srila Prabhupada will be very interested to know of the results of your visit to Paris as well as to Los Angeles, so please write a report after you have been there. His Divine Grace’s health is generally improved and He is now able to translate the Tenth Canto regularly again. He is planning a trip to Kashmir where it is said that the water creates a good appetite and the vegetables are sweeter than anywhere else in India. The climate is also very nice there so Prabhupada is hopeful that His health will improve by this visit. Any correspondence which you may have may still be sent to Bombay and it will be forwarded.
Hoping this meets you in the best of health.
Your servant,
