My dear Jnana das Prabhu,

Please accept my humble obeisances. Srila Prabhupada has received your letter dated 18th July, 1977, and has requested me to reply it.

When Srila Prabhupada was informed that you were now engaged with the Bhaktivedanta Institute, He said, “Yes, this is the first-class engagement.” He said, “This preaching to the scientists is the next phase. If we can make an impression in the mind of the scientists then we can easily spread Krishna consciousness throughout the world. The scientists are a bogus group. They gave no factual knowledge but are claiming to be authorities. Perhaps this is the first attempt to minimize their authority. Besides me, no one dares to. I never cared for their rascaldom.” So be confident that this engagement of preaching Krishna consciousness on a scientific platform is very pleasing to His Divine Grace.

Srila Prabhupada is looking forward to seeing all of the scientist devotees at the upcoming conference in Vrndavana, and will surely spend a lot of time preaching to all of you. So you will get the opportunity to learn how to counteract their bogus scientific propaganda, directly from Srila Prabhupada’s lotus lips.

Actually Srila Prabhupada’s health has not been good, and He has requested that all devotees may pray, “My dear Lord Krishna, if You desire, please cure Srila Prabhupada.” I have personally seen that Srila Prabhupada is enlivened and feels obliged to remain with us when He hears the preaching activities of devotees throughout the world. So please work wholeheartedly in this new engagement.
