śāke sindhv-agni-vāṇendau jyaiṣṭhe vṛndāvanāntare sūryāhe ‘sita-pañcamyāṁ grantho ‘yaṁ pūrṇatāṁ gataḥ
SYNONYMS
śāke—in the Śakābda Era; sindhu-agni-vāṇendau—in 1537; jyaiṣṭhe—in the month of Jyaiṣṭha (May-June); vṛndāvana-antare—in the forest of Vṛndāvana; sūrya-ahe—on the day of the sun (Sunday); asita-pañcamyām—on the fifth day of the dark fortnight; granthaḥ—book; ayam—this (Caitanya-caritāmṛta); pūrṇatām—completion; gataḥ—achieved.
TRANSLATION
In Vṛndāvana in the year 1537, Śakābda Era, in the month of Jyaiṣṭha [May-June], on Sunday, the fifth day of the waning moon, this Caitanya-caritāmṛta has been completed.
Thus end the Bhaktivedanta purports to Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā, Twentieth Chapter, describing the meaning of the Śikṣāṣṭaka and how the Lord tasted it Himself.
